Are there areas of the world that see less hair loss?

Modified on Wed, 22 Jul at 10:21 AM

Some research suggests that rates of hair loss may vary between different ethnic groups and geographic regions. However, it is difficult to draw firm conclusions because the amount and quality of research can diff er significantly from one population to another.

What is more consistent is that, as we age, people across all ethnicities tend to experience changes in hair density. The extent of these changes varies from person to person and is influenced by a combination of genetics, environmental factors, and lifestyle.
